Raptor Transfer in Grandview, Missouri

PowerLift Hydraulic Doors played a key role in the construction of a major waste transfer facility for Raptor Transfer in Grandview, Missouri. Completed by Weirich Welding Plus, this large-scale operation serves a significant portion of the Kansas City metropolitan area, providing an efficient hub for waste collection and transportation.

Designed to handle a constant flow of incoming waste-hauling vehicles, the facility relies on six PowerLift hydraulic doors to maximize throughput, improve traffic flow, and support daily operations. The project features four massive 58′ x 26′ PowerLift hydraulic doors that provide access to 20 unloading lanes where local waste collection companies continuously deliver material throughout the day.

Once waste is deposited, it is transferred through the facility and loaded into semi-trailers for transport to its next destination. Supporting this process are two additional 33′ x 16′ PowerLift hydraulic doors located at the lower loading area, where waste is pushed into waiting trailers for haul-off.

The large clear openings provided by PowerLift doors are especially valuable in high-traffic industrial applications such as waste transfer stations. Unlike conventional overhead doors, hydraulic doors eliminate tracks, cables, and overhead obstructions, allowing trucks, equipment, and personnel to move freely through the facility. Their simple, rugged design also minimizes maintenance requirements while providing dependable performance in demanding environments.
