PowerLift Hydraulic Doors is proud to showcase this impressive 100’ x 20’ aircraft hangar door installed at the new Senator Jim Perry Aviation Center for Excellence at NC Global TransPark in Kinston, North Carolina. Completed by Southeast PowerLift Hydraulic Doors, Inc., this custom door system delivers the performance, durability, and visual impact needed for a modern aviation training facility.

Designed specifically for the new heated aircraft hangar, the door is clad with 3” thick translucent panels that allow natural light to flood the interior space. The translucent design creates a bright, energy-efficient environment while maintaining the strength and reliability required for daily aviation operations. Combined with PowerLift’s smooth hydraulic operation, the result is a door system that enhances both functionality and appearance.

The Senator Jim Perry Aviation Center for Excellence represents a major investment in the future of aviation education and workforce development in North Carolina. Operated by Lenoir Community College, the facility will feature advanced classrooms, maintenance labs, cutting-edge technology, and hands-on training spaces designed to prepare students for careers throughout the aviation industry.

Students attending the center will have opportunities to pursue degree programs in Aviation Management, Career Pilot Technology, and Aviation Systems Technology. The facility is expected to play an important role in developing the next generation of aviation professionals while supporting the continued growth of the aerospace and aviation sectors across the region.
